NAR Ethics Requirements:
- All real estate licensees/existing Realtor members must complete a minimum of 2.5 hours of ethics training every 3 years. Ethics training must meet certain criteria and learning objectives that are set by the National Association of Realtors. These classes can be taken through NAR’s online courses or through on-line or in-person CE courses via local/state associations.
- Realtors that have complete this required ethics training in a three-year cycle in one association are not required to take any further ethics training for that same cycle if they become a member of a new association.
- First time licensees/ new members of local Realtor associations must complete an Ethics Class when they join an association. When a new member completes the New Member Code of Ethics Orientation this fulfills their ethics training requirement until the next three-year cycle even if they move to another association.
